From Sacramento, take Interstate 50 East. Climbing into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, you will pass through Folsom, El Dorado Hills & Cameron Park. Take Exit 37-Ponderosa Road (Shingle Springs) off-ramp and turn left over the freeway. At the second light turn right on North Shingle Road and proceed north. In roughly four miles it will turn into Lotus Road. Continue on Lotus Road to the end at Highway 49.

Turn right on Highway 49 immediately entering the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. After 3/4 of a mile turn right on Brewery Street (opposite the Coloma Post Office) and left on Back Street and follow it up the hill to the Coloma Country Inn at 345 High Street.
